Peppermint Avenue x Toms

On the 24th August 2017, I was privileged enough to be invited to Peppermint Avenue x TOMS exclusive event at Elysium Bar + Terrace. Peppermint Avenue is a Malaysian lifestyle label which values to embrace, celebrate and foster diversity amidst one another with a passionate ambition.

To celebrate Malaysia’s 60th Independence Day, Peppermint Avenue joined forces with TOMS, for a one-off collaboration event to raise funds for Viva Palestina Malaysia. Viva Palestina Malaysia is an NGO advocating justice, peace, freedom and self-determination for the war-ridden country, Palestine.

TOMS, well known around the world for their charitable One for One business model worked hand-in-hand with Peppermint Avenue to raise funds via a silent auction for exclusive collaboration pieces. Apart from that, holiday packages were also auctioned for the charitable cause.

Items auctioned include; a Peppermint Avenue Scarf valued at RM200, a Peppermint Avenue sleeveless silk dress valued at RM1500, an exclusive pair of TOMS shoes with customized Peppermint Avenue print hand painted by Zam Conteng Kasut valued at RM400, an exclusive hand painted MERDEKA pair of TOMS customized by Zam Conteng Kasut and one-night stay in a beachfront villa at the new resort, The Kasturi in Cherating worth RM1200 per night.

Hello, World!

Hello, my name is Yvonne and I love tattoos (I mean, duh, have you not guessed it by the name). I’m a born Malaysian with Chinese and Thai blood. This is a blog about anything and everything that I love. I used to be a barista and currently in marketing for Korean cosmetics. I’m in love with food and have a side business called Wake & Bake which sells artisan brownies (NO, not that kind). So, it’s merely a bunch of random things jumbled into one entity! You may follow me on Instagram (@thatgirlwithink) to find out more about me. Don’t hesitate to talk to me. Ain’t life all about making friends?  ♥ ♥ ♥
